The Tyber Medical Peek hammertoe system offers three innovative solutions for efficient hammertoe corrections:
ToeGrip EVO, ToeGrip Classic and ToeGrip Retrograde. The system aims to enhance surgical procedures by streamlining steps, reducing operating times, and ensuring superior patient outcomes. All ToeGrip implants are uniquely crafted with a one-piece PEEK design that includes three intramedullary arms on each side.
These arms are meant to be inserted into the proximal and distal phalanges of the toe to ensure press-fit stability. The Implant’s anchoring relies on a tight-fitting contact, supported by its tapered shape and macrostructures. Once impacted, this provides a firm grip, offering
crucial primary stability to prevent displacement, which is essential for successful bone consolidation.
They are connected via a cylindrical structure, ensuring a height offset between the proximal and distal phalanx to replicate the natural anatomy of the toe (ToeGrip EVO). Depending on the Surgeon’s Preference, the ToeGrip Family offers an EVO version with anatomical offset of the proximal to distal phalanx or a fully cannulated retrograde version, allowing the Surgeon to introduce a 1.4mm K-Wire.
The ToeGrip Family started with the ToeGrip Classic in France in 2010 and is the first-ever peek implant.
